Join two tubes securely with our Key Clamp External Sleeve, designed for use with 48.3mm outside diameter tube. This heavy-duty 48.3mm key clamp external sleeve provides a strong end-to-end external connection, making it ideal for extending handrails, guardrails, safety barriers and other modular tubular structures. It is the recommended option where the joint will be subjected to weight-bearing loads.

Manufactured from high-quality galvanised cast iron, this durable key clamp fitting offers excellent corrosion resistance for reliable indoor and outdoor use. The external sleeve fits around the outside of both tubes to create a strong inline joint without the need for welding, allowing frameworks to be assembled, extended or modified with ease.

Compatible with standard 48.3mm outside diameter tube, the fitting is secured using integrated socket grub screws, tightened with a standard Allen key. As part of a modular key clamp system, it provides a dependable solution for extending tubular structures while maintaining strength and rigidity.

This fitting is designed to join two tubes in a straight line using an external sleeve connection. If a flush joint with no external sleeve is preferred for non-load-bearing applications, our 48.3mm Key Clamp Internal Connector provides the appropriate alternative.

The customer is responsible for ensuring this fitting is used for its intended purpose, that all socket grub screws are fully tightened using a suitable Allen key before use, and that the completed structure and all fittings are suitable for the intended application and any loads they will be required to support.
